چکیده

Numerical simulations have been carried out in order to characterize the ultrasonic field propagation and to obtain the spatial distribution of the mechanical effect derived from it. The results have been compared with those obtained with different classical physical methods (calorimetry, aluminium foil erosion, thermal probes) and have given useful information about the influence of the presence of probes and auxiliary tools in the ultrasonic field. All these information have been used for the development of the Part II of this work: analysis of chemical effects, providing an accurate picture of the reaction environment in the sonoreactor used (20 kHz, 100 W supplied by Undatim) for further uses in sonoelectrochemical studies.

Free vibration analysis of thin annular plates integrated with piezoelectric layers using differential quadrature method

In this article, using generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) methods, free vibration of a thin annular plate coupled with two open circuit piezoelectric layers, is numerically studied based on the classical plate theory. The governing differential equations with respective boundary conditions are derived and transformed into a set of algebraic equations by implementing the GDQ rule, then so...

Mechanical material characterization of an embedded Carbon nanotube in polymer matrix by employing an equivalent fiber

Effective elastic properties for carbon nanotube reinforced composites are obtained through a variety of micromechanics techniques. An embedded carbon nanotube  in  a  polymer  matrix  and  its surrounding  interphase  is  replaced with an equivalent fiber for  predicting  the  mechanical  properties of  the  carbon  nanotube/polymer composite. The effects of an interphase layer between the nan...

Vibration Analysis of FG Micro-Beam Based on the Third Order Shear Deformation and Modified Couple Stress Theories

In this paper, free vibration analysis and forced vibration analysis of FG doubly clamped micro-beams is studied based on the third order shear deformation and modified couple stress theories. The size dependent dynamic equilibrium equations and both the classical and non-classical boundary conditions are derived using a variational approach. It is assumed that all properties of the FG micro-be...
